The issues that matter to ne Side neighbors

I am deeply committed to addressing vital community issues like enhancing affordable housing options, protecting the environment, and upgrading our community infrastructure. My focus is on creating a sustainable and inclusive future for all residents, ensuring everyone has access to safe, affordable homes, a clean environment, and efficient public services.

Housing

  • Support more affordable housing and initiatives like the Kent County Affordable Housing Revolving Loan Fund
  • Find opportunities to lower costs for everyday needs and keep people in their homes
  • Support small business and a local economy that puts people first

Health & Environment

  • Make sure our neighborhoods are safe, and expand care of our youngest residents through the Ready by Five Early Childhood Millage and our aging residents through the Senior Millage

  • Address the mental health crisis and support community mental health in Kent County

  • Ensure our community can respond to PFAS, lead-paint & pipes, and contamination that threatens the safety of our air, land, and water

Community Infrastructure

  • Expand our park and trail system, revitalize the Grand River corridor, preserve farmland, and grow our urban forest

  • Improve our transportation system and access to reliable, effective public transportation

  • Invest in sustainable solutions that improve recycling, composting, and reducing our reliance on landfills
