Wave-white

Candidate for County Commissioner, DistriCt 18

I’ve called northeast Grand Rapids home for over 20 years. I care deeply about my neighborhood and working on issues that make life better for my neighbors and the residents of Kent County. That’s why I’m running in the Democratic Primary that will take place on August 6th 2024, for the newly open seat in District 18.

The Issues

Housing

Enhance affordable housing, reduce living costs to prevent displacement, and bolster small businesses to strengthen the local economy.

Health & Environment

Support both young and aging residents, making neighborhoods safer, tackling mental health issues, increasing reproductive rights, and safeguarding environmental health against contaminants like PFAS and lead paint in Kent County.

Community
Infrastructure

Enhance green spaces and transportation, revitalize the Grand River area, promote sustainable waste management, and preserve farmland to improve community and environmental health.
